Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign 2005-2008EUBIA is currently supporting, as Campaign Associate, the European Commission initiative in the framework of the Intelligent Energy - Europe (2003-2006) programme: the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign 2005-2008.
The Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign aims to raise public awareness and promote sustainable energy production and use among individuals and organisations, private companies and public authorities, professional and energy agencies, industry associations and NGOs across Europe.
Sustainable Energy Europe 2005-2008 has been launched for a period of four years and will contribute to the achievement of EU energy policy in the fields of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, clean transport and alternative fuels.
With the objectives of raising public awareness and promoting the intelligent use and production of energy in Europe, the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign has given greater visibility to two groups of voluntary agreements over the past two and a half years since the SEEC started: -Campaign Associates -Sustainable Energy Partnership
EUBIA is a Campaign Associates (CAs), byJ une 2007, the Campaign had received the support from 79 CAs that represent a wide range of sustainable energy actors, namely
- Energy agencies (10), Energy industry (15), Industry associations (12), Public authorities (3),
- Networks (19), International cooperation (2), Social stakeholders (4),
- Educational institutions (1), Financial sector (1), and Media (12).
The Sustainable Energy Partnership includes institutions, organisations, decision-makers and sustainable energy stakeholders whose projects and initiatives in the European energy sustainability sector have been approved and recognised by the European Commission.

By June 2007, 184 Partners had been officially recognised by the European Commission. The aim is to continue building and promoting a European network that showcases the best energy solutions in Europe.
We can group these initiatives into different areas: -Sustainable energy communities -Market transformation including voluntary commitments -Promotional, communication and educational actions -Demonstration and dissemination projects -Cooperation programmes
Since Partners and CAs often represent clusters of between 10 and 50 members, the number of organisations that demonstrate their commitment to the Campaign is estimated to be over 3,000.
