On the Biograce website an Excel file is published that helps companies, advisors and auditors to perform biofuel greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) calculations in a harmonised way. The Excel file allows making GHG calculations following the methodology of the two recent EC directives 2009/28/EC (RED) and 2009/30/EC (FQD). The Excel file makes transparent how the values listed in RED Annex V were calculated. The version 1 that is now public contains four of the twenty-two biofuel production pathways for which default values are listed in RED Annex V.A. Later this year, a version with all twenty-two pathways will be made public. The website also contains a separate Excel file with a list of standard values to be used to convert input numbers into GHG emissions. |
