A statistical analysis of the available information was performed; this analysis in conjunction with stakeholders\u2019 expertise allowed to identify the so called &#8220;best practices&#8221; with relation to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.recoilproject.eu\/index.php\/en\/good-promotion-and-collection-practices\">household UCO collection<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.recoilproject.eu\/index.php\/en\/best-practices-in-processing-and-distribution\">recycling into biodiesel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-right: 0.9pt; text-align: justify;\">In parallel, EUBIA developed a review of the most releval <a href=\"http:\/\/www.recoilproject.eu\/index.php\/en\/market-perspectives-and-legal-framework\">legal and financial barriers<\/a> to the deployment of the UCO-based biodiesel market. This review was lately summarized in a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.recoilproject.eu\/index.php\/en\/policy-paper\">position paper<\/a> which was discussed with European experts andl policy makers in a high level meeting (see <a href=\"http:\/\/eubia.org\/index.php\/news-events\/events\/197-recoil-round-table\">article<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The citizens&#8217; attitude towards household UCO collectioin was enquired through an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.recoilproject.eu\/index.php\/en\/social-acceptance-and-behavior\">household survey<\/a> involving 877 people in 5 countries. A deep knowledge of the householders&#8217;s behaviour paved the way to the implementation of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.recoilproject.eu\/index.php\/en\/pilot-projects\">7 pilot projects<\/a>, working as living lab to test the identified best practices and to establish strong commitments with local authorities.<\/p>\n<p>The final objective of the project was the development of one <a href=\"http:\/\/temp.assec.pt\/recoil\/?&amp;lang=4\">on-line decision-making guide<\/a> including all the findings of the project.
