<\/span>EUBIA, coordinator of the project NEWAPP, is pleased to report images and presentation of the latest NEWAPP workshop organized in Vienna during the EUBCE 2015.  <\/span><\/p>\n

The event took place on the 4th of June 2015, at Messe Vien Congress Centre and was focused on presenting the results of NEWAPP, a project co-financed by the European Commission FP7 in order to demonstrate the potential of Hydrothermal Carbonisation Technology  for wet biomass waste treatment and high value char production. Hydrothermal Carbonisation Technology is getting more and more interesting due to the several benefits it presents in terms of wet residues processing capability, avoiding too expensive pre-treatment with a limited energy consumption.Thanks to the plant processing 3 dry t\/day residues in continuous owned by Ingelia, in Spain, NEWAPP project demonstrated that HTC is already a commercial technology. The low emission, the wide range of potential industrial application and to the scalability of the process, attracted the interest of many industries, research centres and investors.  New commercial initiatives are starting, also thanks to the activity of NEWAPP project consortium. started. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event a<\/span>ddressed stakeholders from a wide range of sectors, from research to industry representatives and municipalities.<\/span> <\/div>\n

The objective <\/span>of the workshop is to present HTC as advanced technology for organic waste treatment, project partners presented the  results of testing activities provided by NEWAPP project consortium and <\/span>the studies on <\/span>biochar<\/span> as green sustainable feedstock for several  industry applications.<\/span><\/div>\n

The NEWAPP project consortium was represented by Michael Renz (CSIC-ITQ), Barbara de Mena Pardo and Christoph Knauer (TTZ), Mikolaj Oswianiak, Morten Ryberg, Christine Molin, (<\/span>DTU), Marisa Hernandez L<\/span>atorre (Ingelia) and Andrea Salimbeni (EUBIA).<\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
