EUBIA Story

The European Biomass Industry Association (EUBIA) is an international, non-profit organization founded in 1996 and headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.

Its mission is to promote bioenergy, fostering international collaboration among industry stakeholders and researchers, and it is dedicated to developing strategies and programmes that advance new biomass valorization technologies. EUBIA groups together market forces, technology providers, and knowledge centres.

Role

EUBIA plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of bioenergy in Europe by driving  innovation, promoting best practices, and facilitating  policy discussions aimed at accelerating the transition to renewable energy sources.

EUBIA’s primary objective is to support biomass industries at every level by promoting the sustainable use of biomass as a source of energy and bio-based materials. The association is committed to developing innovative bioenergy solutions and fostering international cooperation within the sector. Recognizing that biomass is key to sustainable development and the deployment of clean energy worldwide, EUBIA strives to strengthen European policies, safeguard industrial interests, identifying  new opportunities, create jobs, and enhance environmental quality.
