Presentations of the Horizon 2020 Info Day on Societal Challenge 2 calls for 2018 – 14 November 2017

The Presentations of the 14 of November of the Horizon 2020 Info Day on Societal Challenge 2 calls for 2018 are now here available in case you missed the Info Day in Brussels. From this presentations is possible to highlight which are the research priorities and novelties for the 2018-2020 Work Programme, which was launched the 27 of October.

The plenary session highlighted the novelties of the 2018- 2020 Work Programme, the first presentation was ‘Insights into the New Work Programme: research priorities and novelties’. Find it here.

Regarding the topics that are included in the Work programme, the first one is the calls for proposals of the Sustainable Food Security Session. ‘The multi-actor approach’ presented by Inge VAN OOST. ‘From functional ecosystems to healthy food’ presented by Eleonora Patrizia GANCI, Marios MARKAKIS, Inge VAN OOST, Jean-Charles CAVITTE, Louis MAHY, Isabelle DE FROIDMONT-GÖRTZ and Miroslav BOZIC. ‘Environment and climate smart food production and consumption’ presented by Gaetan DUBOIS. ‘From functional ecosystems to healthy food’ presented by Garbiñe GUIU-ETXEBERIA and Doru-Leonard IRIMIE. ‘Building capacities’ presented by Marc DUPONCEL, Annette SCHNEEGANS and Jean-Charles CAVITTE. ‘Targeted international cooperation’ presented by Ciaran MANGAN, Agnieszka ROMANOWICZ.

The session on calls for proposals for Blue Growth is also available. The Work Programme invests €1,3 billion. ‘Sustainable food, farms, forests, oceans and bioeconomy’, presented by the Marine Resources UNIT, Nikos Zampoukas and Marta IGLESIAS. ‘Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine, maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy’ presented by Marco Weydert.

The last session was on Rural Renaissance. Rural Renaissance Call (RUR) ‘From farm to society: understanding dynamics and modernising policies’, presented by Alexia ROUBY, Gaetan DUBOIS and Marc DUPONCEL. ‘Organising sustainable food and non-food value chains under changing conditions’ presented by José RUIZ ESPI. ‘Taking advantage of the digital revolution’  presented by Louis MAHY, Ana CUADRADO, Inge VAN OOST  and ‘Boosting innovation and enhancing the rural and social capital in rural areas’ presented by Inge VAN OOST.
